5 Graphic Designers I Follow on Instagram

Sometimes inspiration is just so darn hard to come by. And I think a great way to stay on your toes is to take a peek at what your favorite designers are doing. So today I’m sharing my five faves who inspire me to get my creative juices flowing and think outside the box.

1. Jessica Walsh, @jessicavwalsh

I came to love Jessica when she embarked on her 40 Days of Dating experiment back in 2013. Since then, she’s pretty much become a household name in the design world, but I’m still so enamored by her quirky humor and colorfully sarcastic style.

2. Carly Fries, @carlyfairbank

This Vancouver native is on the rise and I’m telling you, she’s going to be a big name one day. Y’all, this girl knows how to wield a pen and her hand-lettering skills are pure eye-candy. (Fun fact: I even challenged myself to a 30-day lettering challenge last year so that I could beef up my doodles as well!)

3. Hoodzpah Design, @hoodzpahdesign

I can’t actually tell you what the heck their name means, but this sister-duo can call themselves whatever they want, because their work speaks for itself. Their design style is colorful, retro, and typographic - three things I could look at all day long.

4. Stitch Design Co., @stitchdesignco

This Charleston-based studio is heralded for its clean, minimalist design and its work is completely breathtaking. I’m obsessed with their perfect use of typography, and with 30k followers, I know I’m not the only one oogling at their creations.

5. Amber Asay, @amberasay

Don’t you love/hate those designers where everything they touch turns to gold? Amber is exhibit A. Seriously, she always knows exactly which typeface and muted color palette to use to create a design that will stick in your head for days.
